Welcome to iConsent.
This Privacy Policy explains how iConsent (“iConsent”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the iConsent mobile application, website at useiconsent.com, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”).
iConsent is designed to help individuals and businesses create, send, sign, and securely manage digital consent agreements and related records. Protecting your privacy and maintaining the integrity of your agreements are fundamental to our service.
By creating an account or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account or use iConsent, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (if provided)
- Password (stored securely in encrypted form through our authentication provider)
- Account preferences
1.2 Agreement Information
When you create or receive agreements, we collect:
- Agreement title
- Agreement content
- AI-generated agreement content
- Agreement category
- Parties involved
- Digital signatures
- Signature timestamps
- Agreement status
- Agreement expiry date
- Notes added by participants
1.3 Audit Trail Information
To help preserve the integrity of agreements, iConsent records an audit trail that may include:
- Date and time of important actions
- Agreement creation
- Agreement edits
- Agreement sharing
- Agreement viewed
- Signature started
- Signature completed
- Agreement declined
- Agreement downloaded
- Device type
- Operating system
- Application version
- Browser information (where applicable)
- IP address
- Precise device location (GPS) attached to a signature, when you grant permission (optional — see Section 6)
- Document integrity hash
- Security events
Audit trail information is retained to preserve agreement integrity and investigate fraud or disputes. IP addresses are personal data; we store them securely and only ever display a masked IP in the app (for example, 196.201.•.•).
1.4 AI Interactions
When you use AI-powered drafting features, we may process:
- Prompts you submit
- Instructions you provide
- Agreement context necessary to generate responses
AI-generated content should always be reviewed before use. iConsent does not guarantee that AI-generated agreements are legally valid or appropriate for your specific circumstances.
1.5 Device Information
We may collect:
- Device model
- Device identifiers
- Operating system
- Application version
- Language settings
- Time zone
- Crash diagnostics
- Performance metrics
1.6 Subscription Information
If you subscribe to iConsent Pro, we collect information necessary to manage your subscription through Apple App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat.
We do not store your payment card details. Payment processing is handled by the applicable app store or payment provider.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create your account
- Authenticate users
- Generate agreements
- Deliver AI-powered drafting
- Manage digital signatures
- Maintain agreement history
- Protect account security
- Prevent fraud
- Maintain audit trails
- Improve the Services
- Provide customer support
- Send service notifications
- Process subscriptions
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we process personal information under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract
- Legitimate interests
- Legal obligation
- Your consent
4. Digital Agreements
iConsent stores agreements securely to enable participants to access completed agreements and maintain evidence of signing activity.
Completed agreements may be retained even if one participant deletes their account where retention is necessary to preserve the integrity of the agreement or comply with legal obligations.
5. Document Integrity
After an agreement is completed, iConsent generates a cryptographic document hash. This hash helps detect whether the document has been modified after signing. If a document changes after signing, the stored integrity hash will no longer match the document.
6. Location Information
When you sign an agreement, iConsent can attach your device’s precise location (GPS coordinates) to your signature as evidence of where signing occurred.
This is optional: we request your permission before collecting it, and you may decline. If you decline, you can still sign — the signature is simply recorded without a location. Declining location permission will not prevent you from using the Service unless location verification is specifically required for a particular agreement.
Separately, we record the IP address associated with important actions as part of the audit trail (see Section 1.3).
